Dr. Goldenberg served in the United States Navy where he was Head of the Department of Otolaryngology at the Naval Regional Medical Center at Camp Lejeune, North Carolina. He specializes in the management of hearing loss and balance disorders. Dr. Goldenberg invented prosthetic devices (Goldenberg Middle Ear Implant System) for the surgical restoration of hearing, which has been used worldwide.
He is Professor and Chief of the Division of Otolaryngology at Wright State University School of Medicine. His research interests are the restoration and/or repair of the inner ear cells of the cochlea which cause nerve deafness. He performed the first Cochlear implant in Dayton in 1982.
