Dr. Garrett is a native of the Dayton area. He received his medical degree at Case Western Reserve University and was inducted in to the AOA Medical Honor Society. He completed his residency training with the Department of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery at The Ohio State University Medical Center including the James Cancer Hospital and Nationwide Children's Hospital.
He is board certified through the American Board of Otolaryngology. He is a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons and an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology—Head and Neck Surgery.
He is also a member of the American Thyroid Association and a Clinical Assistant Professor in the Wright State University School of Medicine.
His clinical interests and surgical expertise include thyroid and parathyroid disorders, thyroid cancer, cancers of the head and neck, and the treatment of voice and swallowing disorders.
